Drs. Larry Baitch and Marshall N. Cyrlin bring years of clinical and research experience to Dakota. They have mentored many doctors in optometry and ophthalmology, and both regularly consult for physicians around the country:.
Larry Baitch, O.D., Ph.D
Dr. Baitch has a long history of academic, research and clinical accomplishments.
In the 1980’s he developed an electrophysiological technique for assessing the way that the brain processes binocular information from the two eyes, which is used today in research and clinical environments.
Dr. Baitch has been involved with refractive surgery since initial FDA approval of the first excimer lasers in the 1990’s. He is considered an academic authority of LASIK by his colleagues, and consults and lectures to ophthalmologists and optometrists throughout the United States.
He has been on faculty in the departments of ophthalmology of three medical schools and was Directory of Neurosensory Services in the Departments of Ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and Childrens Hospital of Michigan.
Dr. Baitch is an avid bicyclist and is passionate about Jazz music.

Marshall N. Cyrlin M.D.
Dr. Cyrlin brings to the forefront a very prominent clinical, academic, research and development regimen. His expertise features several published book chapters and papers regarding Glaucoma Diagnostics and Therapeutics and renown lectures nationally and internationally.
Dr. Cyrlin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a charter member of the American Glaucoma Society Specialty Group. He currently is Director of the Glaucoma Service at Beaumont Eye Institute, Royal Oak, Michigan and has an appointment as Clinical Professor of Biomedical Sciences (Ophthalmology), Eye Research Institute, Oakland University where he has been actively involved in clinical trials of Glaucoma Pharmeceutical Agents.
Dr. Cyrlin has received an Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is listed in the book of Best Doctors in America.
